The Tamil Nadu Government Engineering College Teachers' Association (TNGECTA) is a registered body of faculty members serving in Government Engineering Colleges across Tamil Nadu. Established to serve as the collective voice of engineering educator from the 11 government engineering colleges in Tamil Nadu.

Mission

To protect the welfare, professional development, and collective interests of government engineering college teachers. Strives to create a unified platform where educators can voice their concerns, share best practices, and collectively work towards the advancement of technical education in Tamil Nadu.

Vision

A strong, empowered community of engineering educators recognized for their contribution to nation-building through quality technical education. Envisioning the government engineering colleges in Tamil Nadu as centres of excellence that attract and retain the best teaching talent.

Objectives

• Represent members before the Government, AICTE, UGC, and other authorities.
• Protect and promote the working conditions and service benefits for Engineering College Teachers.
• Protect and promote supportive learning environment and beneficiary schemes of the Government Engineering College Students.
• Advocate for better infrastructure and resources in Government Engineering Colleges.
• Support members in career advancement and research activities.
• Facilitate interaction among Faculty of different Government Engineering Colleges.
